Audience Comments:2/05/07 01:19 PM Inventive and enjoyable; the puzzles are too rigid--reasonable alternatives are rejected for weak reasons--and this does get in the way of play sometimes. Rating:7
6/25/06 07:16 PM Super weird, super fun. I especially like the vending machine puzzle. Rating:10
1/29/06 08:08 PM Excellent game - with the exception of the ending. Gentry combines a little of "The Matrix" and a little of "Office Space" - surprisingly, it seems, before either of those movies came out. I understand the author's rationale for the ending - "is any life goal more worthwhile than any other?" - but it felt totally out of place next to the humor from the beginning. And came too early, as well... at this point in "The Matrix" things were just getting started. Rating:8
11/01/05 08:28 AM Okay. I had to go to the hints section. But it's funny, yes. Rating:6
8/04/05 08:23 PM Frustrating, but fascinating, LBM is a puzzle of a game in several ways. No matter how it's interpreted, the game's notion of what "learning to love yourself" means is horrifying. Rating:7
7/21/05 08:28 AM A nice, slightly surreal little game, which has fun playing with your expectations of the PC. Ending somehow didn't quite fit, for me. Great, rather spooky atmosphere though, as you would expect from the author of Anchorhead. Rating:7

2/27/04 11:53 AM Hard to rate because I couldn't complete it - the hints are insufficient and there's no solution. Rating:6

11/26/03 01:41 PM I didn't like the storyline behind this game much, but everything else about it was done well. - JAA Rating:7

9/05/03 09:19 AM I *so* liked this game. It was a shock to me when the same author did Anchorhead--both are horror, but two more different horrific visions could not be imagined. Anyway, this game has my "must-have": attitude. Snark snark snark. If you win in 10 moves, you missed something. Rating:9
8/30/03 05:14 PM I know that this game was supposed to send a chill down my spine as I played it, but I found it nowhere near as engrossing as the author's previous game, Anchorhead. The lack of any real engagement in the plot made this gaming experience fairly dull. Rating:5

8/23/03 09:44 AM More than a little creepy, in parts just plain weird, and altogether laugh-out-loud hilarious. This is one of the few games I've played that makes difficult puzzles actually fun. Rating:9
8/12/03 02:21 AM Superb. Works at every level from puzzle-fest to caricature of office-life to surreal, subversive fantasy. Rating:10
7/10/03 12:10 PM Rating:7
7/12/03 12:16 PM Bizarre, even by Gentry standards. More than a little creepy, and never _really_ explains what's going on. -DJW Rating:7
7/10/03 12:10 PM Good game; rather unsatisfying conclusion. Rating:8
7/10/03 12:10 PM Bizarre and cynical, with several well-executed twists and an intriguingly ambiguous ending. Rating:9
7/10/03 12:10 PM A bland satirical look at office life. Sort of like playing in a dilbert strip. Rating:6
7/05/05 08:33 PM Another Weird Tale by Gentry. As in the best IF, several moments of surprise and discovery. He understands the pacing and suspense of a good story. Rating:10
7/10/03 12:10 PM Infuriatingly programmed. I had to restart it three times, every time getting it into a different unwinnable state near the end. Bah. Rating:3
7/10/03 12:10 PM Rating:7
7/10/03 12:10 PM Frustrating. Irritating. Very satisfying in a masochistic sort of way. I give it a "7." Rating:7
7/10/03 12:10 PM Like a cross between an office comedy and a drug-induced hallucination. Very funny and very horrifying, sometimes at the same time. Some of the puzzles could be clued better. Rating:9
4/04/06 03:44 AM A savage, hilarious and ultimately authentic take on office life. Rating:8
7/10/03 12:10 PM An office game. A dark and nasty office game, true, but still a game about overcoming challenges involving paperclips and clear plastic binders. Dissatisfying ending, too. Rating:5
7/10/03 12:10 PM Fun with office insanity! Rating:8
7/10/03 12:10 PM Difficult, rewarding puzzles. Very memorable. Rating:7
